The effectiveness of various eye treatments is to be investigated more precisely. To this end, large amounts of data are being evaluated and recommendations developed using artificial intelligence. This is the purpose of the large-scale research project “EyeMatics”, which starts in March and is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research with around seven million euros. The Institute of Community Medicine and the Trusted Third Party of the University Medicine Greifswald are supporting the EyeMatics project in planning and implementing the technical and organizational measures for the data protection-compliant consolidation of patient data using federated record linkage (fTTP).
