As part of the commenting process (Ballot) carried out at the beginning of 2024 based on the voting rules of HL7 Germany, we received comments and suggestions from some consortia of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII).
The comments were processed accordingly. The current release of the implementation guide for gICS has now been officially published: ths-greifswald.de/gics/fhir/ig/stable
The gICS implementation guide describes how the necessary business operations for the realization of selected gICS functionalities based on HL7 FHIR were technically mapped. The required FHIR operations, profiles, extensions and terminologies have been continuously developed since 2021 in the form of the TTP-FHIR Gateway and have already been published.
We would like to thank all participants in the comment phase and hope that the results will be well received in practice. We will expand and continue to develop these concepts. Should corrections be necessary in practice or additional requirements arise, it is still possible to communicate this via GitHub-Issue.
