The latest releases of E-PIX, gPAS and gICS are now available to the community for free download. The focus of the releases is on supporting the current work of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII) and the Network of University Medicine (NUM). Feedback from the community has also been taken into account.

Compatibility with the MII-core data set Consent (v1.0.3)

Part of the new releases is the TTP-FHIR Gateway (v2023.1.0). Furthermore, the FHIR interface now allows for the creation of consents in gICS. In addition, the TTP-FHIR Gateway is compatible with the latest version of the MII core data set consent (v1.0.3) by enabling the search for FHIR consent resources according to the specifications of the Consent Implementation Taskforce. This facilitates a connection to the MII Research Data Portal Health (FDPG), which went live yesterday and is conveniently supported. The release also includes updated MII consent templates, which are available here.

These and other new features are described in detail in the updated Implementation Guide and in the manual. Details on the specific application of the MII-compliant consent search will be presented by us at the regular MII-NUM-DIZ web conference on May 30, 2023.

Consideration of the community

We attach considerable importance to the maintenance of an open and transparent dialogue with the community, and to the feedback we receive.

This has enabled us to resolve the issues that have been reported and to implement the domain-specific assignment of roles and rights that has been frequently requested, in a preliminary step for gICS and E-PIX. This facilitates the segregation of projects and clients during routine operations. The requisite configuration is performed via Keycloak.

We have also responded to the wishes of the community and simplified our versioning scheme. In this way, the individual versions can now be intuitively assigned to the release year and we have the possibility to better synchronize API changes.

Exchange in community dialog

In the Community Dialogue on June 1, 2023, we will go into detail on selected new features of our solutions (including graphical configurations of domains in E-PIX, deletion of domains in gPAS, historical queries in gICS). An overview of all new features, improvements and API changes can be found in the respective release notes and manuals.

Instructions for updating (update/upgrade) existing systems are shown accordingly in the manual.

If you have any questions, please use our contact form and the THS Community Dialogue on June 1. 2023 from 14.00-15.30.
